RUI GRAZINA

RG21 is a wooden jewelry box designed by architect Rui Grazina. In the shape of a cube, it comprises five drawers on its five usable sides.
“I believe the practice of architecture is related to the design of furniture pieces; working on small and large scales at the same time is very important, in the sense that these represent complementary sides of the design process” the architect explains.
The RG21 is unique for its size, its functionality and the materials in which it is built. Rui Grazina has reduced its size to a minimum and given it five usable faces with the same number of drawers, all of different shapes and functions. It has the dimensions of18x18x18cm. It’s made of recycled plywood birch. The handles are handmade in cotton thread.
